CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING

Ragging is totally prohibited in the college and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 as well as under the penal law for the time being in force.

Ragging shall include any act of omission or commission by any person indulging directly or indirectly in any kind of teasing, indecent behaviour including hooliganism, causing annoyance or inconvenience to the students or the outsiders on the campus and/or to the residents on the campus, as the case may be.

In response to the directions received from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohak, an anti ragging committee is constituted for curbing the menace of ragging in/out of the college:

At the time of admission, every candidate shall be required to give an undertaking of good behaviour and not to indulge in any kind of ragging, duly endorsed by his parents/guardian as specified by the University authorities. This will imply his/her conforming to the rules and regulations of the College and of the University (including the Hostel regulations if he/she is residing in a Hostel), as prevailing/modified from time to time. If a candidate after his/her admission is found indulging in any kind of ragging, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled.

Each admitted student shall have to furnish two affidavits (as per specimen given hereunder) from himself/herself and his/her parent/guardian that he/she was never found guilty of ragging and shall not indulge in any act of ragging.
